Are Amazon editions of the books PoD?

Post by CthulhuSaves »

Curious about that because I ordered the Giants module several days ago and it still hasn't shipped. Getting the "need more time" routine, even though everything appears to be in stock, and there isn't the usual date listed for incoming stock. Kinda weird, so I wondered if they're printing them on demand like they do with some media.

I think they're printed via CreateSpace, so there can be a delay. I'm not sure if it's a strictly PoD-based system (ie they don't keep any copies in stock), or if they keep some in stock and then if it runs low/out then they either print a few more copies or wait for someone to order a copy.

Everything is PoD, but Amazon orders popular items ahead (like the Core Rules). I assume their stock of Saga must have run out and they are waiting for a reorder.
