Re: Welcome to the Basic Fantasy RPG Forums!
Hi guys, I'm Lord Caesar and I'm new to both the forums and to the Basic Fantasy game in general (I just recently acquired a copy of the core rulebook a few days ago) but I have been playing RPG's in general since I was thirteen.
I am a big fan of D&D, Pathfinder, Classic World of Darkness (sans the metaplot), Big Eyes Small Mouth, and OSR gaming in general.
Currently, I'm working on a Basic Fantasy play-by-post sandbox campaign I want to GM and I'm wondering if I can host it here, seeing as you guys have plenty of other play-by-post games already on here.

Sure! The procedure goes like this:
First, post an invitation in General Discussion.
Next, send me a PM when you have all the players you are looking for, and I'll create your PbP forum. Your PM must must MUST include:
-- The name of the campaign
-- A brief blurb describing it
-- The usernames of all the players who have volunteered to play

Greetings all,
I am new to BFRPG, but cut my teeth on MERP in the 80's. Looking for a new game that can be played online. I live in the Atlanta area. Thanks!

Re: Welcome to the Basic Fantasy RPG Forums!
Greetings all! Wilowisp here; I just got a copy of BFRP 2e. at Half Price Books last week for the first time. I had formerly assumed BFRP was effectively just the same as Labyrinth Lord, but reading it this week has shown me how utterly elegant and versatile BFRP is. I'm now thinking of using it to run a few campaigns.
I have a question though: is there a summery of the changes from 2e. to 3e.? My book is 2e., and if there are significant differences, I'd like to know what they are. Thanks in advance for any info.

3E added a handful of monsters, a page of suggested traps, and made a couple of minor editing changes.
I still use 2E at my table, since my players all have it. No significant differences.

Welcome! I think RPoL is a popular choice for PbP games.Battleshadow wrote:Hi everyone. I love dungeons and dragons. I am looking for a play by post game does anybody know of a game i could join. Does anybody else know of another websites that I could find a play by post game.

Hello all, my name is Javier and I'm from Venezuela. I started late regarding RPGs, Magic: The Gathering pushed me to try and play a few games, started with D&D 3.5, then 4th and 5th, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Shadownrun and BFRPG which I really dig for the old-school vibe, simple but deep content and openness.
