Is there any possibility of having HTTPS enabled for the various sites? At the moment, when you log in to the forum (and the other sites e.g. PCMatic) your username and password is transmitted unencrypted over the net.
Not sure if it will work on HostGator accounts (https://twitter.com/hgsupport/status/694292490485133313), but Let's Encrypt provides certificates for free: http://letsencrypt.org/

Re: HTTPS support?
It's not a trivial task... that's why it hasn't been done yet. Sorry folks. Please, don't use the same password here that you use in places where you handle money, credit, etc.
... that should be a rule ANYWAY.

It will depend on the host, the cost, and what they support. For HostGator, it looks like they still promote Comodo rather than the free LetsEncrypt.
