Morgansfort has just become my initial setting...

Post by kerc »

And just like that, I wrote a whole story for my Basic Fantasy game. It just flowed. I used the Morgansfort setting as a platform, then added my story on top, and it all merged nicely. No more dungeoneering without a purpose. There's a plot going on, and it'll be fun. Should be good for a few level bumps.

Something something huge goblin invasion in the works. ;)

This is what I've got so far: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1RGAUL ... GoniiKozc0

Not too fancy, but a good start for what I have in mind. :)

I love it. I like how you have it laid out in the google doc and your premise is good. Wonderful read.

Thanks for your support, guys! It's seriously encouraging. :)

I've added content to the first adventure, and created the plot for the second adventure. I think we'll be doing The Cave Of The Unknown, then have a grand (for now) finale at the Nameless Dungeon.

I loved the Starisel plotline but was having a hard time putting it in the mix, so then I had the idea of leading the players there and fight it all, and find out in the end that it was sort of a mistake! However, they won't come out of it all empty-handed, they should get some good information (which I need to flesh out in detail).

My final challenge is taking the Nameless Dungeon and creating a good challenge... I might turn it into a lab for the evil wizard? Maybe they'll have their first confrontation with here there? Depends on how they level up and how it all goes...

I'm excited to get started! But we must finish our current adventure, which is the dungeon of "In Search Of The Unknown". We're around 65% done... 8-)

I am playing Dead Post Necromancer here by bringing this thing back to life, but seriously this is pretty good stuff. Gives me some really great ideas for the area as well as the presentation is well don as well.
Has anything been updated with the campaign since you posted this?
Player: I drink the potion!
DM: Are you sure you want to do that?
Player: Um, no. Maybe, Why, do you think it would be stupid?

The color map in the back of the Morgansfort Supplement differs from the black and white map in the adventure, there is a river missing close to Slateholm on the opposite coast.
