Chapter I: Into the keep of Kamir

Post by lucky64 »

(OOC: Now, for big, bold, epic text. :ugeek: )

To recap,
six "adventurers" have all stumbled apon the small town of Morgansfort. The six include a wizard, a dwarf, a warrior, a thief, and two halflings. Upon their entrance, it seems clear that this town dosen't see too many adventurers. Which, of course, means that there is adventuring to do. A sweet little girl was snatched out of her home by vile goblins. Lord Piram Helsith IV, has offered one hundered gold pieces, for the safe rturn of this little girl. Being adventurers who couldn't resist helping out, and earning some pocket money, set off. Finding the goblin's hideout was quite easy. Inside, not so much as easy. Quite a few goblins were pitted aganst our heroes, with the warrior, Thaddeus, almost taking a permenent trip to the other side. After (mostly) dodging an arrow trap, and defeating yet another goblin, our heroes are at the end of a long hallway, making ready to march down the long and dark abyss, with no knowlidge of what might await them...

(OOC: Shall I assume that Keiler goes back for his pack?)

And now, the eternal role play question...

What do you want to do?
Pero 5/5
Galan 7/7, 1 healing potion left
Keiler 9/9, 1 healing potion left
Neville 4/4,
Davros 9/9
Thaddeus 10/10, 1 healing potion left

After picking up the arrows and resetting the trap as best he can, Galan turns to Neville and says "Lead the way, Neville. Let us all keep our wits about us lest we stumble into another trap ill prepared."

(OOC: Let's assume he went back, or someone brought it)
Keiler assumes his position in the front.
"Aye, lead on. I'll watch yer back."

If Thaddeus had seen the pack, he would have picked it up and brought it along.

Same marching order is fine w/ me.

As you continue down the hall, you can see two goblins in the distance. They don't seem to see you. They're watching something. You can hear some very sickening noises... it sounds like something is eating something else. The goblins chatter to themselves, which Neville can hear...

Goblin 1 : So what is that thing?
Goblin 2 : Chieftan called it a "Ghoul".
Goblin 1 : Uh, isn't it dangerous?
Goblin 2 : Not to worry, it's in a cage, stupid.
Goblin 1 : Huh... That thing is making me sick just staring at it...

The distance is about 20ft.

Assuming Neville signals back (or we can see this), Keiler signals "2" and "goblin" (mimeing a long nose). He will shift back quietly and let any archers/slingers move up to shoot.

He also points to Pero, "look", and points back the way they came. (keep an eye out behind us).

Galan silently slides into an open area and readies his sling. He also tries to take a quick glance around for any possible traps.
